Perry Lefko is a multiple award-winning writer, who won the AJAC Environmental Award in 2022 for a Toronto Star article that was published on David Suzuki, who drove across Canada in an electric vehicle. He is also a multiple best-selling author, who has wrritten books with or about former NHL players Eddie Olczyk and Nick Kypreos, wrestler Bret Hart, jockey Sandy Hawley, football stars Doug Flutie and Mike (Pinball) Clemons, and curling champions Sandra Schmirler and Colleen Jones. He worked in the Toronto Sun sports department for 21 years and later worked at Sportsnet for five years. He has been writing automotive-related articles since 2014 and credits the late Norris McDonald for his mentorship. Perry is a regular writer for Canadian auto dealer and the Toronto Star, and was appointed Content Manager by The Car Magazine in 2024. He has been affiliated with the Canadian International Autoshow since 2015 in various capacities, including writing and organizing panel discussions.
